Shaft Blanks Final Size
Canadian Hard Rock Maple Shaft Blanks – Precision Tapered to Final Size
Crafted from premium Canadian Hard Rock Maple, these shaft blanks are hand-selected for straight, tight, and consistent grain structure—ideal for cue makers who demand reliability and elite performance from the start.
Each blank is carefully seasoned for stability: a minimum of 6 months of curing, with most aged 1 year or longer. This extended acclimation minimizes internal stress, reduces long-term movement, and ensures a blank that cuts cleanly and stays true.
Every shaft blank is professionally tapered to near-final dimensions:
Tip Diameter: 13.25 mm
Joint End: 0.840" (+/- 0.005")
Material: Premium Canadian Hard Rock Maple
Curing Time: 6 months minimum — most over 12 months
Grain Count: Hand-sorted, typically 14–18 (natural variation applies)
These are not rough dowels — they are true cue-grade shaft blanks, pre-tapered and ready for final machining, threading, ferrule installation, and finishing.
All shaft blanks are turned entirely in-house at Billiards Innovations, LLC, never outsourced. This ensures consistent quality, tight tolerances, and full control over every step of production.
Because of the strict selection process and high demand, shaft stock is almost always limited. When available, they tend to sell quickly.
Disclaimer
Some blanks may contain minor mineral deposits, a completely natural characteristic of Hard Rock Maple. These will never be present within the front 2/3 of the shaft blank and do not affect the performance, strength, or playability of the finished cue in any way.
Photos shown are examples only. They are not the exact shafts you will receive, but they accurately represent the quality and appearance you can expect from Billiards Innovations, LLC.
