My story is one of craftsmanship, obsession with precision, and an unwavering love for the game of pool. For over three decades, I’ve dedicated my life to mastering both the artistry and the science behind cue making — a journey that began not in a factory or classroom, but in the quiet determination to build something better, truer, and more exacting than what I could find anywhere else.

As a professional pool player, I’ve always believed that a cue is more than just a tool — it’s a living extension of a player’s intent. That understanding shaped my transition from player to cue maker, where I began experimenting with materials, tapers, joint designs, and balance points until every detail aligned perfectly with performance. My cues, now known under the Obsidian Cues name, are entirely hand-built by me — from core to finish — and represent hundreds of hours of labor, often measured not in time, but in ten-thousandths of an inch.

Over the years, my passion for precision grew into engineering and machining. I became a machinist and engineer, developing specialized tooling and CNC software to meet the demanding tolerances of high-end cue making. When I couldn’t find tools that met my standards, I built my own. That mindset gave birth to Billiards Innovations, LLC — a one-man workshop devoted to producing truly precision-built cue-making equipment and software for professionals who share my pursuit of perfection.

Every product I design and build — from the Cue Demon XL, Spinning Station, Center Finders, and Collets, to the custom-built software like the Wrap Groove Generator and Ring Billet Generator — comes from years of trial, error, and refinement. Each is engineered with the same level of care I put into my cues: accuracy, reliability, and function above all else.

What sets my work apart isn’t scale — it’s soul. No other hands touch what I build. Every component, every software line, and every cue is a reflection of my personal standards and my deep respect for the craft. I’ve always believed that quality should speak louder than quantity, and that philosophy continues to guide everything under the Billiards Innovations name.

Beyond the machines, there’s a story of perseverance. Living with multiple sclerosis (MS) has challenged me physically, but it’s also sharpened my focus and appreciation for what I can create. Every cue, every precision tool, every innovation stands as proof that dedication can overcome limitation — that the pursuit of excellence doesn’t stop when things get difficult; it begins there.

Today, Billiards Innovations represents more than products — it’s a promise of integrity, craftsmanship, and authenticity.
