After more than 350 hours of design, machining, hand inlaying, and finishing, Obsidian Cue Serial #00002 stands as a testament to patience, precision, and the relentless pursuit of perfection.
 
Every Obsidian Cue is crafted solely by my hands — no assistants, no production line, no duplication. This cue is the only one of its kind in the world, a one-off creation that will never be reproduced in any form.
 
Design and Construction
Built from hand-selected Gaboon Ebony and pure Elforyn, this cue embodies the philosophy behind every Obsidian creation: no compromise, no comparison.
Its design features 188 individual Elforyn inlays, each one meticulously cut, aligned, and seated under magnification. Every pocket was machined and hand-fitted to ±0.0005" tolerances, ensuring seamless transitions and flawless symmetry throughout the build.
The deep black tones of the Ebony contrast perfectly with the radiant, ivory-white Elforyn — a pairing that achieves both timeless elegance and technical precision. Every taper, joint, and alignment was refined to produce forward-balanced playability and an unmatched sense of control in the player’s hand.
 
This is not simply a cue — it’s an instrument, engineered for feel and perfected for form.
 
Wrap and Finish
The handle features a diamond-hatch pattern leather wrap, selected for its refined texture, durability, and consistent grip under all conditions. The geometric diamond pattern adds a subtle visual rhythm that complements the symmetry of the inlay work, enhancing both comfort and control.
 
The finish is a multi-stage, hand-polished process, building up a deep, crystal-clear surface that reveals the full character of the wood beneath.
Under direct light, the finish reflects a depth and clarity that feels almost liquid — a mirror-smooth surface achieved only through countless hours of patient, precise handwork.
