Our professional resin stabilization service is billed at:

10-Pound Minimum — $140.00 Minimum Order
Unlike pricing based on the weight of your wood when it arrives, our service is calculated using the final stabilized weight of the wood being returned to you after processing and curing.
This means you are paying based on the finished stabilized material—not simply the amount of raw wood you send us.
How Our Pricing Works
Your wood is received, inspected, dried as necessary, vacuum impregnated with stabilization resin, allowed to soak, heat cured, cooled, and prepared for return.
Once the stabilization process is complete, the finished material is weighed.
Your stabilization charge is then calculated at:
Final Returned Stabilized Weight × $14.00 per pound
There is a 10-pound minimum charge per order.
Therefore, the minimum stabilization charge is:
10 lbs × $14.00 = $140.00
If your finished stabilized material weighs less than 10 pounds, the stabilization charge remains $140.00.
If your finished stabilized material weighs more than 10 pounds, you are charged according to the actual final returned weight.

Why We Charge by Finished Weight
Different woods can absorb dramatically different amounts of stabilization resin.
A lightweight, porous burl may absorb considerably more resin than a dense hardwood of the same dimensions. Even two pieces of the same species can have different densities and resin uptake.
Charging by the final returned weight provides a consistent pricing method that accounts for the material actually processed and stabilized.

10-Pound Minimum
Our 10-pound minimum allows us to efficiently operate the drying, vacuum, resin, soaking, and curing stages required for professional stabilization.
You are welcome to combine multiple pieces and compatible wood species in a single order to reach the minimum.
For example, cue makers may combine forearm blanks, butt-sleeve material, handle stock, ring billets, joint-protector stock, and other suitable material within the same stabilization order.
The wood does not need to consist of ten identical pieces. The minimum applies to the total order, not to each individual piece.
